Episode 1 - Is Cats queer?
Episode 1
Monday, 16 May, 2022
In our pilot episode, we look at elements of queerness in the musical Cats. We look at the plot, the context and era when it was created and how the musical is built. Then, we look at relationships within the Jellicle community and the fandom interpretations. Finally, we have a shout out for our Cat of the Day, the delightful or at least very okay Tumblebrutus. Episode corrections: T.S. Eliot wrote Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats in 1939 and not in the 1920s like we mentioned in the episode! Intro and outro music: Whisky on Fire by Rum Buffalo Follow us on Twiter @JelliCATharsis and on http://www.jelliclecatharsis.com
