Iliotibial band syndrome is a common condition experienced by runners. The pain is felt on the outside of the knee and is accompanied by tightness on the side of the thigh. Naturally many turn to foam rolling to reduce the tightness in the IT band. However, is foam rolling the IT band actually beneficial?
