CEW Episode 006 - Early American Philosophy(not an oxymoron!), Cambridge Analytica + modern insanity

For this week's current event we discuss the Cambridge Analytica bombshell(s). Then, to better understand where we are as a culture, we're trying to wrap our heads around American philosophy. This is the first of three episodes that will touch on US history. Our historical and philosophical subjects this week both cover the early European colonies (St. Augustine, Jamestown, Plymouth). What the heck were they thinking??!! This brings us all the way up to the the early revolutionaries, and John Adams, in particular, whose Alien and Sedition Acts seem to suggest that, in some ways, maybe not much has changed...
