Dirty Money Moves: Women in White Collar CrimeAuthor: Cloud10
Dirty Money Moves: Women in White Collar Crime dives deep into cases involving a more rare type of criminal, women who commit financial crimes. Scamming and financial crimes are usually a mans game, but women dabble in it too. In Season Three of Dirty Money Moves, host, Jami Rice of MURDERISH, the podcast, takes listeners along as she investigates Tracii Hutsona, a self-described winner who appeared to have it all: successful businesses, multimillion dollar mansions, luxury cars, and the cash to spend on high-end jewelry and vacations. She claimed to have had a lengthy acting and modeling career, one that saw her on the cover of several major magazines, including Italian Vogue. She even claimed to have romantic ties to Keanu Reeves. But not much about Tracii seems to be real, except maybe her abilities as a con artist. Most recently, she made headlines for embezzling more than 1 million from Joumana Kidd, actress and ex wife of NBA star Jason Kidd, via Traciis luxury concierge business. Then, Tracii opened a restaurant in San Diego, fittingly called Breakfast Bitch, which was funded, in part, by Joumanas money. These recent crimes may have garnered all the media attention, but they are by no means Traciis first run-ins with the law. Shes had a long history of schemes, going back 30 years. Yet, the most shocking thing about Tracii isn't the dollar amount shes managed to steal over the years, but the way in which she victimizes the people closest to her, over and over again. This is the story of an extremely charismatic woman who can manipulate even the most savvy person into believing exactly what she needs them to, all in the pursuit of a lifestyle of luxury, glamour, and self-indulgence. Like it or not, Todd and Julie Chrisley are out of prison, way ahead of schedule, thanks to President Trump’s pardon. It seems like the short 28 months they did spend in federal prison didn’t do much to change their narrative, however. Just two days after Todd and Julie’s release from their respective prisons, Todd held a press conference where he proclaimed that he was convicted of something he didn’t do, and that there was a tremendous amount of misconduct by the government during the investigation and trial. This, even though the district court judge who oversaw their trial didn’t buy the Chrisleys’ allegations of prosecutorial misconduct, the jury certainly didn’t hear any proof of it, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals also didn’t find that there was misconduct on the government’s part… or on the part of the district court judge who oversaw the trial. The Chrisleys have already done a few sit-down interviews, and have had cameras filming their every move since the moment they exited prison. There’s also a new TV show set to release this year, and hints of others to come. Will viewers be able to see through the lies and manipulation, particularly in the interviews the Chrisleys have done recently? Will Todd and Julie be able to win back their reality TV following and line their pockets with millions as if none of this ever happened, or will America wise up, see through their bullsh*t, and finally send the Chrisleys into obscurity?
