[translation] Today, I'd like to talk about vacation. In Korean, there are typically two different terms used to describe vacation in different contexts. Firstly, for students, school vacation is called "λ°©ν•™" (bang-hak). λ°©ν•™ is a Hanja word where "λ°©" means to release or let go, and "ν•™" means learning. So, λ°©ν•™ can be understood as a break from learning. In English, λ°©ν•™ can be translated as "learning break." On the other hand, for those who work or have jobs, vacation is called "νœ΄κ°€" (hyu-ga). νœ΄κ°€ is also a Hanja word, where "휴" means to rest or take a break, and "κ°€" means a gap or interval. Therefore, νœ΄κ°€ means an interval for resting. In summary, in Korean, vacation can be referred to as λ°©ν•™ or νœ΄κ°€, where λ°©ν•™ applies to students and νœ΄κ°€ applies to working individuals. [Vocab] ν•œκ΅μ–΄ [han-guk-eo] - Korean language λ°©ν•™ [bang-hak] - school vacation 학ꡐ [hak-gyo] - school νœ΄κ°€ [hyu-ga] - vacation (for working individuals) ν•œμžμ–΄ [han-ja-eo] - Sino-Korean vocabulary λ°°μš°λ‹€ [bae-u-da] - to learn λ°© [bang] - room 쉬닀 [swi-da] - to rest ν‹ˆ [teum] - gap, interval μ˜μ–΄ [yeong-eo] - English language
