Hello everyone, today we are going to talk about hiring in digital marketing As you may already know, it is not an easy task to find a job in digital. The world of digital is evolving each year, and there are more and more NEW job titles in digital that hiring staff managers do not even know about… Couples of years ago a position like “growth hacker” or “devops manager” was not even existing yet. Therefore recruiters are having a really hard time trying to understand profiles and positions for which they have never hired before…. Not that long ago, everyone wanted to hire a “data scientist” without even knowing what it is, just because everyone online was talking about data science as the new big thing… Of course it is difficult for everyone to find a job, but in digital you may meet recruiters which are completely lost when facing technical profiles. Tech people or “geeks” have their own language and really specific skills which are hard to judge from a recruiter perspective… Let’s be honest here : talking about technical skills with a random recruiter is sometimes a huge waste of time…It is as if you were not talking the same language as the recruiter. During job interviews, you may bump into difficult questions like “why do you want to work with us ?” or “why hire you and not someone else ?” Just remember that a lot of questions don’t have perfect answers… We advise you to train yourself and prepare your answers to these questions before any job interviews though. This way, you will be more confident during the job interview. Finally, remember also that there is no perfect resumé : some recruiters want more details in your resumé, some others will tell you that you should summarize more…Basically everyone is different and you will never be able to please everyone.
