Ilhan Tok is born in 1937 in Duzce and is the owner of a magnanimous voice and unparalleled talent. His professional life saw him getting appointed as a Muezzin in Escudar mosque, Istanbul where he later got promoted to being an able Imam and a preacher in 1962. He stayed in the same designation till he retired from the service in 1981. Sheikh Ilhan Tok also represented Turkey in an International Quran reading competition in Malaysia in 1981 and garnered immense praise and adulation for the same. Presidency of the religious affairs in Ankara was his true calling in every sense of the word, a post he handles currently with profound clarity and dignity.
