I fell in love with '99 Trip, a trio from New Jersey, when I first saw them perform at the Nuyorican Poets Café in New York City in 2019. God damn: They knocked me off my feet instantly: Their music, lyrics, delivery, stage presence and interaction with the audience were everything. When they started performing on stage it felt like time had stopped and everyone froze; pure magic in the air. Everyone felt it: We were in the presence of musical excellence. '99 Trip is a force of nature to be reckoned with. You'd better believe that. But hear it for yourselves. I had the immense pleasure to sit down with them and talk about their music.
