Tragic News from the Information: the Passing of Peter Poole
Episode 118
Friday, 6 March, 2026

After a short but hard fought battle, I sadly lost my brother Peter Poole to cancer in the early morning of the 4th March 2026.   Peter was a creative genius on so many levels.    A talented artist first and foremost. But also a brilliant writer of plays, short stories, and even entire magazines (including The Information zine this very podcast was based on).    He also made great films and short videos, many of which are available to view on his YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@Cineminiatures   Peter was a seminal part of this podcast, and I intend to keep the archives available online to respect and honour his memory. It is what he would have wanted.    New episodes may also come down the line. But, for now, we will cease operations for the most part.    I have recently launched a memorial archive site dedicated to his art and other creative endeavours at PeterPoole.art   Our podcast can now also be accessed on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheInformationCast/   RIP Peter. And maybe see you again on the other side x
