PRO LABOR CONSERVATIVES PODCAST

PRO LABOR CONSERVATIVES PODCAST

Author: David Thomas Graves

If you're looking for a feel-good show to talk about the labor movement, you are tuned into the wrong show. In 1969, the American Labor Movement controlled 31% of the American workforce. Today, that number is hovering around 10.3%. American unions are breaking, and American labor is suffocating under a mishandled economy, a shattered regulatory system, and politicians who deliver nothing more than lip service. Working men and women have been left behind; the just transition promised to millions of workers has been anything but just. The union establishment has failed its membership, we are forfeiting the war, and it's time the American worker reconsider our strategies and our allies. It's time to go back to the basics. It's time that unions talk about those issues that keep families up at night. It's time we start fighting for kitchen table issues again; that means fighting to put more money in your pocket, fighting for you to have more time with your family, and making sure you come home every night by ensuring a safe place to work, and guaranteeing that after a lifetime of sacrifice for your family you can retire with dignity and financial independence. Let's get to work!
