Go Read and Write PodcastAuthor: Smart Literacy
Dont you just love hearing a story? So do we. Go Read and Write Podcast episodes present audible stories for Primary/Junior aged readers. Uniquely, we embed strategies to improve reading comprehension and critical thinking, in each podcast episode. We present a strategy in the context of the story. As the podcast progresses, we talk about the story and the strategy. So, listeners can understand how the strategy works and learn to apply the strategy to new stories. The Go Read and Write Podcast is a companion to the Go Read and Write Blog found at Smartliteracy.org. At the end of each podcast, listeners are invited to visit the blog to comment on parts of the story, and to find more activities about each story. The blog also contains general information and activities about literacy strategies. The episodes are under twenty minutes in length.
