इस एपिसोड में हम सुनते हैं महायुद्ध के सबसे निर्णायक क्षण की कहानी, जब धर्म और कर्तव्य आमने-सामने खड़े होते हैं। कर्ण का वध होते ही युद्ध की दिशा हमेशा के लिए बदल जाती है और कौरव पक्ष भीतर से टूट जाता है। इसके बाद अठारहवें दिन का आरंभ होता है, जहाँ एक-एक करके अंतिम प्रमुख योद्धाओं का पतन होता है। यह एपिसोड महाभारत के अंतिम अध्याय की नींव रखता है।
