Selling for over $50 Million Dollars, after a foray into 24 / 7 gyms aged 65 Years Old with Bob Cheek

Bob Cheek is a former politician, published author and successful businessman. At 65 years old, when most people are looking towards retirement Bob found himself running a small local gym at a loss. On a whim and desperate for change he booked himself a flight to the US after identifying an opportunity in a fitness magazine. Fast forward 8 years, Zap fitness and the 24/7 gym concept was introduced in Tasmania. 37 Gyms, 30,000 members and a business eventually sold for over $50 Million dollars, that opportunity worked out. This is an awesome chat with Bob as he shares his journey with humour and honesty. We discuss why you are never too old to reinvent yourself and the hurdles he faced getting his new venture off the ground.
