Shantell moved to Hawaii in 2012 to pursue an education in marine biology at UH Manoa. While attending school, she worked as a veterinary assistant and discovered her passion for veterinary medicine. In 2021, she became a registered veterinary technician after successfully passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam. For over a decade, Shantell has dedicated herself to caring for the dogs, cats, and horses of Oahu. In her free time, she enjoys training her German Shepherd Dog, Freya, and participating in various dog sports.
