We begin the conversation about what it's like to work in tech and live in this cognitive dissonance bubble where on one hand we're required to be professional and solve design challenges, and at the same time be unemotional about the larger picture. Kateryna shares her experience working with Emily at Amazon who is working to get Amazon to commit to a plan to deal with climate change by 2019. We discuss an idea of drafting, where we use the momentum of others, as well as the 3 ways you need to engage if you want to make a difference: minimizing your footprint, dealing with downstream effects, and attacking upstream causes.
