In this April 7th episode of Real Polling in Real Time with Zogby, John and Jeremy discuss where things stand politically, arguing that the President has become an “agent of chaos” who cannot also be a source of stability, and noting recent elections decided by small margins as a reminder that votes still matter. We’ll look at several key demographics that helped Trump in the 2024 election and the collapse of that support over the past year. What does this mean for his decision making on the economy and foreign policy as well as the Democrat’s prospect for the midterms. The conversation then turns to the President’s news conference and his ultimatum to Iran, saying that by 8:00 PM Eastern time there must be some form of capitulation or cessation of hostile acts, or the U.S. would “bomb everything in sight,” though they note it’s unclear what that would mean and that Iran does not appear ready to capitulate.
