Jesus walks on water

In the gospel of Mark chapter 6: 45-52, Jesus urged his disciples to go ahead of him to a the other side of the lake. The disciples soon find themselves caught in a life-threatening storm. The portion of Scripture describes them as "making torturous progress' because the wind was against them. We have the image of the storm-tossed boat at the dread of night describes the danger and distress that the disciples were experiencing at stage of their journey. Jesus remedies the situation by "walking on the water" to the stressed out disciples. If you experiencing a situation where you feel that you are making 'torturous progress' in this life, this episode of Jesus walking on water will encourage you to keep placing your confidence in Him. Jesus walked on water to reveal to his disciples and us that he can be trusted in the midst of life's challenges.
