Wednesday, 19 November, 2025

Welcome to the inaugural episode of "Fraud Frontlines," a special limited series within the DataTalk™ podcast, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and strategies in fraud prevention. In this first episode, our host Kathleen Peters, Experian's Chief Innovation Officer of Fraud and Identity, sits down with Nash Ali, Experian's VP of Fraud Strategy, to discuss how fintech innovation has reshaped the fraud landscape and what that means for the future. As financial technology continues to revolutionize how people transact online, it's also changing how fraudsters operate. The rise of GenAI and automated scams has introduced a new level of sophistication that demands equally advanced defenses. Nash Ali is VP of Strategy at Experian Fraud, Innovation and Commercialization (FIC) and NeuroID, an Experian company. With over 20 years in risk management, payments, fraud prevention and strategy, Nash has previously held pivotal roles as Global Head of Risk and Payments at MoneyGram International, as well as leadership roles in risk management at Western Union, Bank of America, and eBay. He has managed product, risk and data science teams at Prove, Socure and CashEdge (Fiserv). He earned an MBA from UC Berkeley and a BS in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Louisville. Nash is known for his strategic insights, industry relationships, and an innovative approach to identity and risk management. At Experian, he focuses on advocacy for digital identity, as well as advising clients on new technologies to reduce fraud, combat malicious Agentic AI and bots, and improve operational processes and customer experience.  Kathleen Peters leads innovation and strategy for Experian's Fraud and Identity business in North America, continuously exploring new ways to solve market challenges in identity, risk, and fraud detection. She and her team define business strategies and investment priorities while incubating new products, analyzing industry trends and leveraging the latest technologies to bring ideas to life. Kathleen joined Experian in 2013 to lead business development and global product management for Experian's newest fraud products. She later served as the Head of the North America Fraud & Identity business, until being named Chief Innovation Officer for Decision Analytics in 2020. Kathleen has twice been named a "Top 100 Influencer in Identity" by One World Identity (now Liminal), an exclusive list that annually recognizes influencers and leaders from across the globe, showcasing a who's who of people to know in the identity space. For nearly two decades, she has lived in the heart of Silicon Valley in California, working for a variety of companies including early-stage technology startups. Living in this epicenter of fast-paced innovation, leading-edge technology and disruption influences Kathleen's own approach to strategy and business thinking at Experian.
