Episode 17
Thursday, 29 August, 2024

Anna-Maria Boelskov I Naturopath & Birth Doula  2 followers2  5 tracks5 As the follow-up and the second part to episode 16 with Charlottes twin's birth, I am excited to bring you this three-way conversation with Charlotte and Dr Andrew Bisits, the obstetrician who played a key role in her twin's birth. This episode delves into the beautiful synergy of trust and respect that defined Charlotte's birth experience. Dr. Bisits shares his perspective on the birth, offering insights into how the collaborative relationship between him and Charlotte contributed to the successful and empowering delivery of her twins. Join us as we explore the dynamic interplay between a dedicated mother and a supportive medical professional, highlighting the importance of mutual respect and trust in achieving a positive birth outcome. Charlotte’s story, enriched by Dr. Bisits’ reflections, offers a moving example of how teamwork in birth can lead to extraordinary results. Introducing my new guest, Dr. Andrew Bisits. Andrew currently works as Head of Obstetrics at the Royal Women’s Randwick and supports women in having physiological births where possible. Dr. Bistis was also Head of Obstetrics at John Hunter Hospital from 2007 to 2015. Introducing Charlotte Romanet: Charlotte Romanet is a 40-year-old single mother by choice, she was born and raised in France by a French father and American mother and moved to Australia permanently in 2017. She has 3 children from the same unknown donor: 2.5 year old Theo and 7-month old twins Arthur and Ella, all born in Randwick. Charlotte absolutely loved giving birth to all 3 of her children with minimal intervention and is hoping to encourage others to pursue similar empowering and wonderful birth experiences. When she’s not spending quality time with her children, she works in Supply Chain strategy and planning at Lion, a beer company, and loves traveling, scuba diving and sky diving.
