Send us a textOur special guest Dr. Alexandra McGlashan is a Mom, Educator and Psychologist.She is a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified Bilingual School Psychologist. Dr. McGlashan received a doctoral degree in School/Clinical Child Psychology from Pace University. A native New Yorker, she is also proud to remain connected to her roots as a daughter of Haitian immigrants. She has worked for over 20 years as a K-12 School Psychologist in both New York City and Long Island working directly with students to help improve learning, behavior, and emotional health. She consults with teachers and school staff, and conducts numerous fun and informative workshops for corporate organizations, parents and children on various topics including Mental health and Digital Media, Mindfulness, Immigrants and Mental Health, Understanding Learning Disabilities and Stress Management.Outside of the schools, Dr. McGlashan works as an adjunct professor helping to train the next generation of School/Clinical Psychologists. Dr. McGlashan has a small private-practice on Long Island.
