So I made a decision: I needed to get clear on who Jesus actually was and what His mission was really about.When I opened Mark chapter 1 and read Jesus's very first public message, everything clicked. After decades of following Christ, I finally understood what I'd been missing:"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel." — Mark 1:14-15Four sentences. That's how Jesus opened His ministry. Not with "be a good person" or "love everyone" (though those flow from this). He came announcing a KINGDOM.
