We are honoured to have the founder of Tonehouse Studios, Mah with us on this week's podcast. Music performance by A L L Y. You may think that Mah looks like a school drop-out, but this owner of Tonehouse Studios is a law graduate from SMU. Having completely lost interest in pursuing an office job, he worked as a full-time electric bassist. He has played with Nathan Hartono, The Sam Willows, recently sessioned for Gentle Bones, and works with many Top 40s cover bands in the pub/club scene. Mah started Tonehouse Studios 2 years ago simply because he felt that the industry needed a space like that. “No ragrets!” he said. Musical guest: A L L Y is a singer-songwriter, whose journey into music began when she was 7. In 2018, she wrote her first song and submitted to a competition which ended up being produced in an online album. This sparked an unchanging interest in songwriting for her. Upon graduation in 2019, A L L Y flew to Boston to attend Berklee’s songwriting workshop and to Sweden for an international songwriting camp. After coming back to Singapore she decided to release her own music. 2020 marks 3 releases. She’s currently working on more music to come in 2021.
