The Intimacy of Identity + Humanity of an Artist

Hi, hello.I’ve been slowly making my way back towards using my voice and the audio land. Partially hesitating on the relaunch of the podcast - somewhat perfectionism, somewhat clarity chasing. I really wanted this to make sense for me with my devotion to carving out chunks of my time, resisting moving without intention and polluting the internet with more “content.”I don’t know if I’ll always be able to do that. I’m sure some of the stuff I’ll share I’ll look back on and be like - WTF was that. That was a “trying to stay relevant” reach. But, I’m gonna try my best to do what feels honest. Even if it doesn’t feel popular. I mean, honestly, my digital life feels quite reflective of my offline one. People know me, they like what I’m saying or doing. They often forget me, but if they engage, they’re left with some layer of inspiration that impacts, expands, or changes their life. And I don’t know if I need much more than that I’m realizing. So as I move into playing with learning audio and also decentering perfect “content” - I will dedicate some of my podcast airspace to my mindspins and ponderings. Intimately speaking, this is one of my top favorite things to do with people in real time. I love spending time with my roommate, friends, new acquaintances thinking out loud. Contemplating. Dissecting. Analyzing. Fantasizing. Dreaming. Discussing. Letting our minds dance and play and feel aliveness through thinking. And I like challenging and inspiring thinking. So perhaps - this is what SLOW/DEEP is all about. It’s going to be at least for the upcoming episodes. I want to ponder with you - in my own energy. And invite you to ponder with me and others who I find pleasure in talking and contemplating with. And share candidly our conversations. Nothing too programmed or structured. Nothing too polished or devoted to editing and post production. But more raw - at times messy or glitchy. I want to keep the humanity in connection. So even if I’ve never met you - there’s an invitation to authentically exist and use the beautiful parts of technology to explore intimacy. Through the ways we remember what it is to freely think. To create. To choose love in our existing. To hold humanity. To lead with and believe in art. Take a listen and leave me a note in whatever way feels true to you and let’s keep deepening and expanding experiencing - through the most human lens - creating - art expressively.
