Radical Hospitality

What if the most powerful witness we could offer the world is not a well-crafted argument or a polished program, but simply an open door? This message takes us on a journey through Scripture to rediscover one of the most countercultural habits of the early church: radical hospitality. From Abraham welcoming strangers who turned out to be divine messengers in Genesis 18, to Jesus dining with tax collectors and sinners in Matthew 9, we see a consistent and stunning pattern. God shows up where welcome is extended. The breaking of bread in Acts 2:42 was never just about food. It was about creating space where belonging replaces rejection, where grace dismantles social hierarchy, and where the outsider is treated as an honored guest. We are challenged to move beyond obligation-driven hospitality and into something intentional and sincere, the kind Paul describes in Romans 12 when he urges us to practice hospitality as an expression of genuine, unperformed love. This is not a passive suggestion. It is a daily rhythm that has the power to transform our communities and our own hearts.
