Surviving the Solo Bubble: Intentional parenting is parenting with purpose, on purpose #9 The expectations placed upon us as women and as mothers is immense. The problems become shockingly evident when you ‘family’ falls out of an archaic 17th century world view. So much of motherhood is care taking - it’s being a police woman, social worker, handy man, therapist, doctor and bank manager As single or solo parents, many of us are the only person our children can rely on. And single parents even more so than others are dealing with and navigating the world of parenting alone with no one to share the strains be it emotionally or physically. Whatever the downfalls and trauma’s you've faced as a parent (single, partnered up or flying solo), how did you / how are you healing from it? How did you start falling in love with yourself again?
