Why people should volunteer for special olympics.
Sunday, 8 March, 2020

Hello hello, today I am going to talk about why people should volunteer for special olympics. First off Special Olympics has a way of changing your heart. I personally changed for the better from volunteering for Special Olympics and I know many other people have too. Special Olympics truly makes a difference in the athletes lives and as well as your life. Special Olympics really does an amazing job at bringing people together in their community. There is no better feeling than giving. When you help others you simply get a positive feeling in return. I'm going to talk about my friend Logan. Logan is a 21 year old with down syndrome. He has the biggest heart and the most contagious smile. Logan can change anyone's day around just with his simple hi that sounds like this hiiiiiii. He is my very best friend. We are so unbelievably close. Logan and I Facetime at least once everyday, and this is even after school. He not only has an impact on me but everyone he meets. I have only been on my college softball team here for a few months but every single one of my teammates knows him. Sometimes my teammates would answer my phone and talk to him before I even got the chance. Special Olympics brought this kid in my life forever. Just witnessing him interact with the other athletes melts my heart. I wish the whole world got to see his smile and his hands thrown up in the air every time he crossed a finish line. He was the happiest boy I have ever seen. Many athletes get to experience this and the volunteers get to witness it first hand. Special Olympics brings people forever friendships while at the same time volunteering in their community. This is why I believe everyone should volunteer for Special Olympics. Special Olympics truly does make a difference in the athletes lives and as well as your life.
