During our journey, we had the privilege of seeing the extraordinary work of Pankaj Social Service, an NGO founded by Pankaj Shah. What began as a mission to serve local communities has grown into a remarkable humanitarian effort that provides daily meals to over 35,000 students, restores vision through eye-care initiatives, and supports countless families through grassroots community programmes. Alongside Pankaj Bhai and his team, we stepped inside one of Nairobi's largest slums to understand the daily struggles of millions living in extreme poverty. We visited a care center for abandoned children with special needs, met inspiring caregivers, spent time with children from underserved communities, shared meals with school students, and witnessed firsthand the resilience, kindness, and hope that continue to thrive even in the most difficult circumstances. This journey became much more than travel. It was a powerful reminder of gratitude, humanity, and the impact that compassionate individuals and organizations can create every single day.
