Snapchat Upgrades: The Implications for users and advertisers. A few weeks ago, the popular social platform Snapchat released two new features, Snap Maps and Snap Links. Snap Maps is a new facet of Snapchat in which users can display their location to those following them on the application. Snap Links offer users, influencers and brands the opportunity to engage in a new and interactive way through the application. This addition to Snapchat mimics updates from competitor platform Instagram.
