Welcome to Calvary Chapel of Perry. In today’s message, Pastor Harley Doneburg continues our journey through the Book of Acts as Paul and his companions press into the regions of Galatia on their first missionary journey. Teaching from Acts 13:13–23, Pastor Harley highlights Paul’s practice of entering the synagogue, finding common ground, and faithfully preaching the Word of God. He emphasizes the power and necessity of Scripture, reminding us that God’s Word is living, active, and always accomplishes His purposes—even when its impact is not immediately visible. Through Paul’s retelling of Israel’s history, we are shown God’s patience toward His people, His faithfulness through every generation, and His ultimate fulfillment of promise in raising up Jesus, the Messiah.Pastor Harley also explores the importance of obedience to God’s Word, examining the lives of key figures such as Saul, Samuel, David, and Joshua. Their stories reveal both the blessings of following God wholeheartedly and the dangers of partial obedience or drifting away from His commands.
