Behold: The Gift God WantsMatthew 2:1-12, Galatians 2:20 The Magi were foreigners from far away, yet God called them to come and behold Jesus’ birth. This was a sign that God wants everyone and that the gospel would one day go global. The Magi brought gifts to Jesus as signs of their faith, but the greatest gift they gave Him was their lives. Jesus wants us and calls us to give Him our lives as well. BeholdTo “behold” is to pay special attention to something, to look deeply at it so as to notice the depth and detail beyond what you might simply see on the surface. The Advent and Christmas seasons are a time to behold the birth of Christ.
