Heroin addiction can be a years-long merry-go-round of pain and frustration, and it can be hard to be hopeful when history is stacked againstt us. In this episode, we talk to someone who has struggled with it for 20 years, but has been given another chance because he knows that there is a better life. That same hope against all odds is why people stay clean and get better lives. It drives us to be happy and content because we know that there are organizations and groups where we can celebrate our achievements and laugh about that pain that allows us to be grateful about the future.
