Welcome to FOR WHAT, the stream-of-consciousness podcast where two irreverent sisters go unfiltered and unapologetic on all things power, patriarchy, and the BS women are just DONE tolerating.We started this show because we kept finding ourselves asking, "All these men... FOR WHAT?!" As we began to answer this question about men, SO MUCH more came to the forefront (because honestly, it's always going to be about MORE than men, right?) it's systems, support (lack thereof), equality, healthcare, rights to our bodies, reverence, and on and on. We decided we are done shrinking, over-explaining, pretending the systems we live under arent affecting us every single day in our bodies, our relationships, our paychecks, and our pleasure. Here, we name it. We say it out loud. The moments where we gave the benefit of the doubt and were gaslit, assaulted, or erased in return. These are conversations we wish wed had growing up. We’re wrapping up Season 1 with a banger as MBK gives us a better understanding of how we got here — and FOR WHAT? Take a cruise through the men who have been the main characters of influence in her life. See if there’s anything familiar perhaps in YOUR story. **Per usual, MBK’s life stories can trigger all kinds of painful experiences for others. This episode is no different— please exercise tender caution for listening to the topics of sensitive nature discussed in this episode.
