This is something that quite a lot of my clients ask me about, and there's quite a lot of different advice out there surrounding limited mixes, rough masters, whatever you wanna call them, and I totally get it. You want your mix to sound loud and impressive when the client hears it, but rushing a rough master just to bring your mix up to competitive level sometimes feels like guesswork.
