The Google Educast is has been a foundational podcast for educational media since 2010. Originally published through the EdReach Network, the Google Educast has consistently been a Top 10 podcast for the EdTech/ K12 category, and continues to be a flagship resource for educators around the world. Hosted by an international cast of educators, including Kevin Brookhouser, Fred Delventhal, Kim Zimmer, Sean Williams, Chris Betcher, Juan DeLuca, Megan Ellis and more, these fine educators continue to bring you the best support for the classroom. We record each week on Thursday evenings at 7:00 CST and we encourage you to watch live. Of course, each episode is recorded to both YouTube and Soundcloud for later playback. In June 2015, the show moved to a new online home at www.googleeducast.com, and is now published independently of the EdReach Network. Our original EdReach Show Notes Archive is still online at https://sites.google.com/a/edreach.us/wiki/google-educast. We plan to gradually move all past episodes to the new site. Google Educast 190 - Kims wins the Educast!
Thursday, 9 June, 2016
Join Dan, Kimberly and Chris this week as they talk about the latest from Google in Education. We look at some great updates, apps and extensions for Calendar, as well as Mobile Docs, and more. Dan asks if voice search going to be a “thing” in education. We check out the latest on Chromebooks and their soon-to-be Android capabilities, and Kim drops the mic with a great coding tool that runs on Chromebooks, plus more. We also share a great new feature that lets you embed live charts in Docs and Sheets.
