Rubber Stamped Mixes

Slammin Melodic Electronic Music

Author: Rubber

Rubbers sets are all about versatility, he is equally at home dropping an Afro Tech club set, Beach / Sunset House vibes, Disco, Funk, Soulful House, Progressive / Trance or some fat Breakbeats plus he loves Drum and Bass. No matter what genre he is playing you will not find anything minimal, it is all about the melody and soul, hence his Slammin, Melodic, Electronic Music tagline. Nobody is going to get short changed either on set length on his watch. Rubber is renowned for journey sets with an average set being 3-4 and upto a record 9 hours long. Currently in Dubai, previously London Matt Rubin aka Rubber has always loved his tunes. In London he ran his own JamBasha parties and rooms in association with House Music Heavyweights Kinky Malinki. In Dubai Matt had a residency at Fratelli and played regularly with Radio 1s / Hollaphonics Greg Stainer. Now with 3 kids and various sporting engagements live sets are limited. My gift back to everyone that loves their tunes is a regular podcast that spans the genres of decent electronic music. DJ's, Groups and Tours Supported: Nick Warren, Bobby & Steve, Sebastian Ingrosso, K-Klass, Hoxton Whores, George Morel, CJ Mackintosh, Greg Stainer, Ian Carey, Choci, Drumattic Twins, Blank and Jones, Mische Daniels, Gordon Edge, Shades of Rhythm, Abigail Bailey, Raymundo Rogriguez, Graham Sahara, James Jackson, Mark Robinson, Grant Richards, Andy Ward, Dale Hooks, DJ Blush, Mark Dynamix, The Persuaders, Jamie Lee Wilson, DJ Flex, Afroboogie, Tom Craft, Stoneface & Terminal, Tocadisco and more... I only buy AIFFS and I have started keeping my WAV recordings (96,000hz 32-bit) of my mixes which i then rip to flac for playing in HD at home. These are 2-4GB a pop but if anyone wants to listen in HD then contact me on matt_rubin@yahoo.com. Enjoy the music! Big Love Rubber

Episode 132: 132 - Rubber Stamped Afro Progressive Tech - Warrior II
Episode 132
Tuesday, 13 December, 2022

I am back as promised with a 2 part Afro Progressive Tech set to end 2022. After weeks of record shopping I narrowed my crate to 36 tunes. I spent a day looking at programming and rather than go 18 build up / 18 main set or an even 18 split, I choose my favourite 18 tunes for the 1st set which overall is a little more progressive but still has a defined Afro vibe leaving a darker less proggy set to follow in part 2. I further refined the part II selection and recorded it last night. Despite the preparation and faultless way part I had gone, this wasn't the same for part II. I guess that was to be expected but making 4 live changes on the fly to tune selection and flow was not on my agenda. However I made it happen and am happy with the results. Part II follows part I theme with me dropping in 90-120 second mixes straight out or during last breakdown and I think it works really well. Big ups to the Pioneer Tours as the screens really enable this planning and execution in the smoothest fashion.  This set is more Afro than Progressive with a Tech sprinkle providing a slightly darker pumping club set to balance part I. Overall I am so happy with these 2 sets. I hope you enjoy listening as much as i did making. Shout out to Armand Smuts for giving me the drive to make it happen. Time to enjoy Christmas with the family now but I will back next year with more music. Let me know if you have any requests. It might be time for some D&B soon.......... Please contact me if you like this set and feel free to share the musical love to anyone and everyone. Thanks so much to Lee Jackson www.rebelcreates.com for his incredible artwork. Legend! Happy Christmas Everyone, Big Love Rubber
