Eala Wins Bronze in Asian Games and Players with Grit on ATP and WTA Tours With Grit
Episode 139
Sunday, 4 October, 2026
In "Serving Aces" Alexandra Stevenson and co-host Hugues Laverdiere talk about Alexandra Eala winning Bronze at the Asian Games. Alexandra talks about Eala's courage and grace and the right decision to play for her country - instead of going to play on the WTA Tour in China or Japan. Alexandra talks about her four players on the men's side and four on the women's side who have grit. A surprise female pick from Ougi was Laura Siegmund. And Alexandra chose Lerner Tien from the men's side, as a quiet upcoming force to note. Djokovic winning against Zverev got him the podcast quote of the week. Quarterback pick of the week was Brock Purdy for Alexandra and Lamar Jackson for Ougi. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
