Today's conversation is with FBI agent Ben Stone on Cyber Crime and protecting yourself. We have written numerous blog posts for realtors, lenders, buyers and sellers in order to promote their internal protections but can't get to the point better than Ben does during this conversation. Bio:Special Agent Benjamin R.P. Stone entered on duty with the FBI in January 2002 andwas assigned to the Houston Division, Texas City Resident Agency where he worked avariety of criminal matters. In April 2008, Mr. Stone was promoted to Supervisory SpecialAgent in the FBI's Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Directorate where he supervisedFBI programs related to the prevention of the proliferation of WMDs.In June 2010, Mr. Stone was named to the FBI's Philadelphia Field Office to serve asSupervisory Special Agent of the Intelligence Squad, responsible for the strategicrecruitment of Confidential Human Sources across the Division.In February 2013, Mr. Stone was promoted to Assistant Inspector at FBIHQ wherehe served in the Office of Inspections and was responsible for conducting inspectionsacross multiple FBI Field Offices and FBIHQ Divisions.In March 2014, Mr. Stone returned to Philadelphia and was chosen to lead the newlycreated Cyber Criminal Squad responsible for all criminal cyber crimes for the FBIPhiladelphia Office.From June, 2016, through January, 2017, Mr. Stone served at the US Embassy, Paris,France as the FBI’s liaison to French Law Enforcement and Security Services regardingCyber matters.Mr. Stone is a native of the United Kingdom and has a B.S. in Chemistry from theUniversity of East Anglia and a M.S. in Organic Chemistry from the University ofPennsylvania. Prior to entering the FBI Mr. Stone worked as researcher in thepharmaceutical industry.
