She is the author of six books, including two spiritual memoirs and a recently completed trilogy of gift books with essays and photographs celebrating the gardening life. Her latest book, A House to Call Home: Creating Places That Will Comfort and Care For Us, will launch in February 2026. Christie earned a PhD in English Literature from the University of Chicago but eventually traded the classroom for an old Pennsylvania farmhouse called Maplehurst where she lives with her husband and four children.
