Real Kidney Living is a forum to share information on living with kidney disease, to inspire one another, form connections and have a dialogue on real kidney living! I am your host, Douglas Brown. I aim to inspire creativity, passion and the ability to make a difference in the lives of those that I touch. I am a two-time kidney transplant recipient and am here to talk about tips and tricks and making the most of the circumstances presented to me. Youll hear from various guests and on topics such as mindfulness, fun diet strategies, screening measures and the partner work that I do with the Northeast Kidney Foundation. This podcast is provided by the Northeast Kidney Foundation, a non-profit organization in Albany, New York. The mission of the NKF is to improve the quality of life of those affected by kidney disease and related conditions through early identification, intervention, prevention and support services; to promote organ donation; and to empower those we serve to be an effective voice for better healthcare at the local, state and federal levels.
