(This podcast was previously published on July 28, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Weather is from God, creator of all things. No man can control the weather though he sometimes thinks he can. When I moved to Clovis, NM (USA), there was a man who thought he could make it rain by firing a canon into clouds. We would hear, "boom, boom, boom" ... but no rain came. In the faith movement churches, there was a doctrine called, "The authority of the believer." We were taught that hail and destructive winds were from the devil and we had authority over the devil and could take authority and command the devil that he could not touch our property. (If it didn't work they said we had weak faith.) The truth is God controls the hail and the stormy winds. Psalm 148:8 Psalm 148 4 Praise HIM, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for HE commanded, and they were created. 8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling HIS word: 13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for HIS name alone is excellent; HIS glory is above the earth and heaven. Recently we had a warning on TV telling us that hail and thunderstorms were approaching the area where we live. When I heard this, I just prayed to God asking HIM to protect us.
