From Anger to Equanimity
Thursday, 2 April, 2026

Dear Choose Happy Community,It’s easy to forget how powerful we truly are. This teaching reminds us that the Divine Presence within us is never absent, not even for a moment. When we release the thoughts and judgments that limit us, we reconnect with the limitless strength already at the core of our being. From that place, clarity and discernment naturally arise. Remembering our own divinity also helps us recognize the same light in others. Here’s one of our favorite quotes from the video:“ If you find, like that person who is very honest about their own patterns, if you find ‘sometimes I am triggered. Sometimes I do get entangled with reactivity’. Every time you come back to your center, every time you come back to that column of light, every time you come back to what is highest good in this moment, you’re adding pure water to the bucket of your consciousness. ”So the Buddhist says, ‘drop by drop, the water pot is filled. And he also says, little by little, the wise human acquires merit.’ And so that’s your practice. If you are feeling anger, that’s where your practice is. That’s where you are able to gradually transform that energy into the energy of compassion and into the energy of creativity. ”If you have reactivity notice and take a step back. Give yourself grace and choose. ‘I choose to come from equanimity. I choose to keep going in my practice of cultivating that divine quality that is absence of anger.”We also shared this video on YouTube, but wanted you to be able to have it on your Substack video player as well, in case you prefer that.Having it on Substack makes it easy for you to see any other podcasts, videos, articles, or full meditation services that might be available in the Self Mastery by clicking here.If you have heard this teaching before, we invite you — as Swami so often invites us — to hear it as if you are hearing it for the first time.
