() . . Watboonyawad is the residence of Venerable Ajahn Dtun Thiracitto, a disciple of Venerable Ajahn Chah ordained by him in 1978. In the recent years Ajahn Dtun has frequently traveled to the West giving teachings. His monastery is situated to the east of Bangkok in the district of Chonburi. Usually there are 60-70 monks each year for the rains retreat. Wat Boonyawad is the 130th Branch Monastery of Wat Nong Pah Pong in Thailand.
