But have you ever heard the term 'criminal landlord' used before? Locked out and forgotten is a new podcast series from Safer Renting, a non-profit programme that supports tenants who are victims of criminal landlords across London. We are part of Southwark based community centre Cambridge House, which fights poverty and social injustice through a range of different services. In this series, our clients tell us about their journeys in the 'Shadow Private Rented Sector', a murky rental underworld where criminal landlords and letting agents operate and how the experience has shaped their lives. In this episode, our incredible client ambassador Lacey tells us her story, from living in a property with a hole in the floor to moving into an illegally converted garage.
