I really enjoyed.. but enjoyed what? Have you been saying it right?
Sunday, 5 July, 2020
In this podcast, we will talk about the use of verb 'Enjoy' when and when not to use it with reflexive pronouns. 🌼 If 'Enjoy' is a transitive verb i.e., it has an object that answers 'enjoyed what?' then you don't have to use a reflexive pronoun. e.g., I enjoyed playing cricket. But if it does not have an object, a case possibly when you are having a good time or having fun then you should use reflexive pronouns e.g., I enjoyed myself a lot at the party last night. Now, in this example, it does not say 'enjoyed what?' It does not have any object, so we have used a reflexive pronoun here.
