Petal (she/her) shrugs through each mundane grade school day, wearing sparkly shirts and sparkly barrettes, while her parents and teachers call her "princess." At night, she turns it up to 11 and rocks out to power metal, dancing and head banging her troubles away! After accidentally taking a piece of her secret metal persona into the real world, she finds she likes having it there, finally reconciling her love of the sparkly with her love of the spiky.
