The majority of the research for this episode came from the book “When They Appeared” written by Stan Michalak (Stefan’s son) and Chris Rutkowski who was a scientist, writer, and friend of the family. The book includes Stefan’s original account of the encounter, the aftermath of the story told from Stan’s perspective and the findings of record and scientific conclusions of Chris Rutkowski.
