I just recently read the list of the 2007 winners of the National Jewish Book Awards. Many of the winners are on my to read list such as Spiritual Radical: Abraham Joshua Heschel in America, 1940-1972. However, I was shocked to learn that I had not heard of the winner for Fiction or any of the finalists in that category for that matter.
