Marian and Christine spend time chatting about knowing your numbers. Then they turn to maintaining partnership in relationships. “Growing up, Christy was never 100% what career path to choose. Life led her to receive her master’s in accountancy, but what she really loves is entrepreneurship and business. Her knowledge of the numbers is a great tool in helping others to build their businesses. Following a career in finance in NYC, Christy came home to NC where she met her husband. She quickly found a job as a controller for an up-and-coming outdoors brand, helping to grow that company over 400% in just five years. Following the birth of their first child, Christy decided to embark on her own entrepreneurial adventure and started a bookkeeping and consulting business. But, fate would turn the tables with an opportunity to take on another venture, one that her husband currently runs and has grown over 700% in five years, despite the constraints of the pandemic. Christy now works as a VCFO, supporting the endeavors of a few select clients and wants to share her knowledge base and lessons with females that are pursuing their life’s dreams.
