Welcome to "Who We Are & Why We're Here" - a podcast that creates a space for medical professionals to discuss the person behind the badge. We as humans, graduate professional students especially, oftentimes get so caught up in their work and lose sight of what's important. This puts us at risk of depersonalization, career dissatisfaction, fatigue, depression, anxiety, and burnout. It is our hope that, through this podcast, we can help combat this - to help people re-ignite their flame or to keep it going! 06: Dr. Daniel Clinchot MD - OSUCOM Vice Dean for Education, Curricular Innovator + PM&R Physician

Dr. Daniel Clinchot is a licensed physiatrist working as the Vice Dean for Education at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He additionally serves as the Inaugural Chairperson for the Department of Biomedical Education & Anatomy. After completing his medical doctorate at the SUNY Health Sciences Center in Syracuse, New York, Dr. Clinchot went on to pursue a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University, where he has remained ever since. His clinical specialty was in serving the traumatic brain injury + Ohio prison population, as well as in performing electrodiagnostic procedures. He has also served in roles within OSU Medical Humanities, as the PM&R Residency Program Director, and as the Associate Dean for Medical/Clinical Education. He is immensely passionate about mentorship, personal + professional development, and medical education/curriculum development - and I am so thankful for our conversation + all the work that he does for us at OSUCOM.
