Mystery MurdersAuthor: Stephen Poole
I produce this series for my YouTube channel "Steve the Amateur Historian" and bring it to you here in podcast form. In this series I discuss unsolved murders, missing persons cases, Jane/John Doe cases, etc. As an Oregonian many of my early episodes are focused on cases from that state, but I have expanded the series now to cover cases from all over America. THE GRIM WIDOW: The Story of a Mysterious Wife and a Mysterious Murder
Episode 5
Thursday, 6 January, 2022
Originally produced as an audio book on my YouTube channel, this is the story of the murder of Harry Agee. Agee's throat was cut while he laid in bed with his wife, Ann, in their modest home in the Portsmouth neighborhood of Portland, Oregon back in 1921. Officially, the murder remains unsolved to this day. But back then the focus was put on his wife who, by her own account, slept through her husband's slaying and only awoke in the aftermath to chase the assailant from her home. This is a story of mystery, intrigue, infidelity, corruption and, of course, murder.
